Live theatre, in English, in Strasbourg

Dear fellow Tagorans

First of all, a reminder that Rob Simmons is directing “Betrayal” by Harold Pinter, which we will be showing at the Cube Noir from 8 – 12 March 2023. Tickets are on sale now – tickets available here:

TAGORA’S NEXT SHOW! – Tagora

and we would invite you all to attend and to advertise this excellent piece of theatre as widely as possible!!

Also, Christelle Colson will be directing Tagora’s contribution to Trois 14’s project for Théatralis 2023, to be held at the end of October 2023, and will be working on a production of a text based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. More on this soon….

At the same time, we are preparing for next season already. To this end we intend to put forward a proposal for a slot in the Cube Noir for the 2023/2024 season, with a preference for the spring of 2024. The Committtee is therefore launching a call for anyone who has an idea/wishes to produce a play, to send details to the Tagora contact address (contact@tagora.eu). As we have to put in our bid to the Trois.14 selection committee early next year, we will need to make a decision in January and therefore would ask that any suggestions and/or project proposals be sent to us by 11 January 2023.

We are also looking forward to participating in FEATS in 2024 (late Spring) for which we will need to produce a one act play no longer than 50 minutes. We would love to hear from anyone who has ideas for such a play, and in particular would be delighted if somebody were to be interested in writing an original script. Let us know, all ideas welcome – we have a less tight deadline on this one, but we would like to hear as soon as possible.

And finally, but very importantly, we are very excited to announce the launch of improvisation workshops starting early in 2023 – with a view to developing our skills in this art form and eventually producing an improvised performance. Watch this space for more details as to times and places!!

All best wishes for the upcoming holiday season
