Live theatre, in English, in Strasbourg

We’re launching a new series of play readings for the first half of 2026. Mostly online via Zoom, since the formula is popular, but we’re hoping to arrange at least one real-life meeting as well.

Online readings take place on the following Sunday mornings starting at 11:00. They normally last between 1½ and 2 hours.

  • Sunday 1 March: Tom Stoppard: The Real Inspector Hound
  • Sunday 29 March: Arthur Smith and Chris England: An evening with Gary Lineker
  • Sundays 19 April and 3 May: J.B. Priestley: An Inspector Calls
  • Sundays 31 May and 7 June: Henrik Ibsen: Ghosts

In all cases, if you’d like to take part, please contact online@tagora.eu. We need to know at least four days in advance of each date to give us time to prepare a cast list. Scripts will be provided.

We also plan to resume the pre-Covid practice of organising on-the-spot, or face-to-face, play readings in the Council of Europe rehearsal room, starting with Perry Pontac’s Hamlet, part II, a highly recommended Shakespeare parody previously broadcast on BBC radio. No date has yet been fixed for this reading but details will be circulated shortly.
